Stone Floor Restoration

In today’s environment natural stone finishes such as marble, terrazzo and limestone have become increasingly popular because of their high quality look and durability.

The vitrification method is used on marble and limestone floors. After the floor area has been cleaned the surface is brought back to a smooth finish by diamond grinding. This process will remove any lippage or scratches from the floor area ready for the vitrification method. A high gloss finish is achieved by burnishing a liquid sealer into the floor area with a steel mesh pad.

Diamond Polishing is ideal for terrazzo floors found in supermarkets. No added chemicals are required for this process, just water.Sets of diamond disks from a 50 grit to 10,000 grit are passed over the floor area on a rotary machine creating a smooth floor. The higher the grit used the smoother the floor gets which increases reflective light and shine.
